Coleoptera: Compact Specimen Collection is a hand-printed linocut from the Coleoptera series, presenting a compact collection of beetle forms drawn from multiple reference images. The design was developed as a broader study of the form of beetles, with particular attention to variation in scale, pattern, and anatomical structure across coleoptera species

The work does not aim for complete anatomical precision. Instead, it embraces interpretation and stylization as part of the process of translation. Minor deviations from strict accuracy are intentional, reflecting both the natural variation found in living systems and the presence of the human hand in the work.

The design is transferred to a linoleum block and carved entirely by hand. Each print is pulled from the original carved block using professional oil-based relief ink. The print is produced on high-quality, textured paper selected to complement the relief printing process. Variations in ink density, surface texture, and edge are an inherent result of the hand-printing process and are considered part of the work.

This print is part of a limited edition of 100 impressions. Once the edition is complete, the block will not be reprinted.
